Student Assistant 2

• Assist with inventory and stocking 
• Assist with setting up project binders and forms.
• Assist with renaming and uploading digital images
• Attend lab meeting when schedule permits
• Assist with holding animals for eye exams
•  Assist with cleaning cages, laundering towels and lab coats
• Assist in setting up for exams and procedures
• Observation of animal physical appearances and behavior
• Work well in a team based environment
• Follow USDA, IACUC and campus veterinary services guidelines and policies.

Qualifications:

• Basic skills and knowledge regarding handling of domestic animals
• Skills in general clerical on a computer and use of various software programs,
• Basic recordkeeping skills
• Readiness to learn laboratory safety practices.
• Ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
• Available up to 15 hours during school and full time during breaks and summer
• Ability to administer animal health care tasks under close technical supervision
