Bio
Nayeli is an aspiring Latina and Mayan Clinician-Scientist. She hopes to discover the wonders of therapeutic drugs for animals in veterinary medicine, ultimately helping human medicine. More specifically, as a PhD student, she is studying how netarsudil, a ROCK inhibitor, helps treat endothelial degeneration in humans and dogs. She enjoys running, biking, hiking, dancing, hammocking, reading, and spending time with family.
