As a Research Associate III/Supervisor at UC Davis, Monica collectively has 19 years of professional animal health care experience and 12 years university employee experience in a full range of expertise and skill sets. She is proficient and successful with managing multiple disciplinary projects and personnel schedules. Proficient in all aspects of Veterinary Ophthalmology, she encompasses the ability to perform minor examinations, OCT imaging, Digital SL capture, Confocal imaging, Fundus photography, Pentacam corneal imaging and measurements, ERG on both the LTK Big shot and LKC RetEval on animals ranging from primates, rabbits to mice. She supervises and operate a fully functioning surgery suite equipped with a surgical microscope and NIDEK EC5000 Laser. She upholds the responsibility of lab safety delegate for Campus inspections, IACUC inspections, AALAC accreditation as well as biological and chemical (BUA and LHAT) safety services.
