Bio

As a Laboratory Assistant II at UC Davis, Michelle has over 20 years of clinical veterinary experience. She worked for 6 years with UC Davis VMTH in small animal nursing, as well as experience in neurology and emergency and critical care at various clinics in Nevada and California. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician in California as well as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in Nevada. She received her BS in Biology from the University of Hawaii at Manoa where she worked as a research assistant classifying marine invertebrates as bio-indicators for the EPA.

She is now engaged in various ocular disease projects. She performs DNA extraction, advanced ocular imaging, and assists with project organization and management. She hopes to learn more advanced imaging, pathology techniques, and personal and laboratory management.
