Bio

Erin is a PhD student working with Dr. Brian Leonard. Her primary research focus is on evaporative dry eye disease. She studies how the lipids of the tear film interact with each other to cause dry eye disease and how those interactions can be modulated therapeutically. She is also a Veterinary Scientist Training Programfellow, meaning that she is also pursuing her DVM. Her overallgoal is to become a clinician-scientist where she can utilize research to better the clinical treatment of her patients and patients on a broader scale. Outside of the lab, she enjoys hiking, skiing, baking and horseback riding.
