Mako Iwamoto, DVM

Mako Iwamoto completed her veterinary education at Nihon University in Japan in 2025. During veterinary school, she developed a strong interest in translational ophthalmology through visits to ophthalmology research laboratories and veterinary ophthalmology clinics. After graduation, she conducted research at Fujita Health University School of Medicine in Japan and later at the Izumiya Laboratory, School of Medicine, University of California, Davis.

She is very excited to join COVSL as a PhD student. In her free time, she enjoys landscape photography, going for walks, and cooking.
