Bio
Dr. Hiroko Iwashita graduated from Azabu University and began her veterinary ophthalmology training at the Triangle Animal Eye Clinic in Tokyo, Japan. During her clinical experience, she completed her PhD in the Department of Ophthalmology, Toho University Graduate School of Medicine. She continued her research related to dry eye diseases (wettability and friction on the ocular surface using contact lenses) at the university as a member of the ocular surface team. She also continued her clinical research in ocular surface diseases in dogs at Triangle Animal Eye Clinic. She now joined COVSL as a postdoctoral researcher focusing on ocular surface diseases, particularly corneal endothelial disease.
