Bio
Dr. Allison Shannon is a graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine and received her DVM in 2023. During her time at UC Davis, she had the opportunity to join the COVSL and work alongside Dr. Brian Leonard in his research on antimicrobial peptides and the ocular surface. After graduation, she completed a small animal rotating internship at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Shannon is very excited to be joining the COVSL once again, as a comparative ophthalmology resident. During her training she will work with Dr. Sara Thomasy on a clinical trial evaluating new therapies for dogs with corneal endothelial disease.
